INOVASI KREATIF PERANCANGAN MESIN PENCACAH BULU UNGGAS GUNA MENINGKATKAN KEMANDIRIAN EKONOMI PETERNAK AYAM DI MEGAMENDUNG KABUPATEN BOGOR

Abstrak: Bulu unggas yang diubah melalui suatu proses pengolahan dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi pupuk organik, pakan ternak, dan plastik ramah lingkungan. Mesin yang banyak digunakan untuk mencacah bulu unggas saat ini masih memiliki beberapa kekurangan diantaranya hasil cacahan yang masih kasar, memiliki bobot yang besar, kemampuan putaran mesin masih lambat dan aromanya mencemari udara. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah mengembangkan mesin pencacah bulu unggas untuk dapat diimplementasikan dan diserahkan ke mitra penerima manfaat agar dapat menghasilkan daya guna bagi bagi industri terkait. Kami memberikan solusi dengan merancang alat pencacah bulu unggas yang mampu bekerja secara efektif dan efisien sehingga nantinya dapat dimanfaatkan pada produk industri kreatif. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berkonsentrasi pada perancangan alat yang inovatif agar bisa dilanjutkan tahap pembuatan alat dan diserahkan pada calon pengguna salah satu peternakan ayam di daerah Megamendung Kabupaten Bogor. Tujuan kegiatan ini bisa memberikan dampak baik bagi lingkungan dengan tersalurkannya limbah bulu unggas secara tepat, desain produk ini dapat diimplementasikan dan prototipe bisa diberdayakankan ke mitra penerima manfaat dan dapat menghasilkan daya guna bagi banyak pihak, terutama peternak dan Rumah Pemotongan Ayam.

Abstract: Utilization of poultry feathers through processing to be converted into organic fertilizer, animal feed, and environmentally friendly plastic. The machine that is widely used for chopping poultry feathers still has some drawbacks, including the chopped results are still rough, has a large weight, the engine speed is still slow and the aroma pollutes the air. We provide a solution by designing a poultry feather chopper that is able to work effectively and efficiently so that later it can be used in creative industrial products. This service activity concentrates on designing innovative tools so that they can be continued at the manufacturing stage and handed over to potential users of one of the chicken farms in the Megamendung area, Bogor Regency. The aim of this activity is to have a good impact on the environment by channeling poultry feather waste properly, the product design can be implemented and prototypes can give benefits for many parties, especially breeders and chicken slaughterhouses.
