Game Design dalam proses Design Thinking, sebuah model pengembangan video game untuk menunjang pariwisata

Abstract


Artikel ini membahas mengenai pengaruh video game terhadap industri pariwisata. Video game telah menjadi media hiburan yang populer dan berkembang pesat di seluruh dunia. Artikel ini mengungkap bagaimana video game dapat mendorong pariwisata melalui pengalaman virtual yang mendalam, menjelajahi dunia fiksi dengan lanskap yang menakjubkan, dan mengenalkan budaya dan warisan sejarah dari berbagai daerah. Dubois dan Gibbs mengemukakan teori bahwa video game dapat mempengaruhi motivasi para turis dalam mengunjungi obyek wisata yang terkait dengan video game. Meskipun video game memiliki potensi dalam mempromosikan pariwisata, penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitasnya masih rendah dibandingkan dengan media film atau cetak. Namun, pengembangan video game dengan tema pariwisata menawarkan peluang bagi pengembang game dan industri pariwisata. Dengan menggabungkan teknologi canggih dan kreativitas, video game dapat memberikan pengalaman edukatif, mempromosikan destinasi pariwisata, dan menciptakan nilai baru bagi para pemain. Penulis menawarkan kerangka kerja baru yang memadukan design thinking dengan game design sebagai pendekatan yang lebih efektif dalam mengembangkan video game yang mendorong pariwisata
