DETERMINATION OF CYAN OFSET INK FORMULA ON ABSORB PAPER TO GET GOOD PRINTING RESULTS

Tinta ofset merupakan jenis tinta yang memiliki viskositas yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan jenis tinta lain sehingga disebut dengan tinta pasta. Sifat- sifat yang dihasilkan oleh tinta tergantung kepada konsentrasi bahan penolong yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik subtrate. Dilakukan penetapan formula tinta ofset cyan untuk dijadikan sebagai panduan dalam pembuatan tinta. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi dan pengujian laboratorium. Sampel dibuat sebanyak empat macam (T1, T2, T3, T4), kemudian diproof pada absorb paper berupa art carton, art paper, duplek front, duplek back. Pengujian yang dilakukan antara lain density, gloss, rub resistance, drying test, blocking test, dan skinning on the table. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil bahwa T4 yang terdiri dari 93,5% base tinta, 4% wax, 1% dryer, 1,5% special dryer merupakan formula terbaik dengan hasil rata rata nilai yaitu gloss 29.8, density 1.8, rub resistance 3, drying test 1.7  , blocking test 3.75, dan skinning lebih dari 10 jam.Â
